Updating globe light fixtures Gratis text chat sex 1 op 1
As I mentioned, there are two other light fixtures in the room (and 2 big windows). I first got the idea to paint it and add Edison style bulbs nearly a year ago, and, at the time, I thought to myself, “I bet I’m not the first person to come up with this idea.” And, sure enough, I googled and found that the fabulous Shavonda from A Home Full of Color had already done this. So I didn’t get to be original, but I did get to proceed (uhh, eleven months later) secure in the knowledge that someone else had done this and had it turn out great. I was a little conflicted about this project because 1. they use up a ton of energy and aren’t the most environmentally friendly option in the world. As to objection #2, my rationalization is that we really don’t use this light much at all. It’s hard to tell in the photo above, but the two glass and chrome fixtures are a little traditional for our tastes…I’ve been scouring the internet for good deals on replacement light fixtures, but haven’t really found anything that it’s in our price range (which, as always, is cheap and/or cheaper). Then I had a sort of revelation during a recent weekend trip to Lowe’s with John.Spilled Milk took her inspiration from a Pottery Barn Teen fixture and created this lovely below.
The old globes sitting next to the new ones on the counter really show just how dingy they’ve gotten over the years. So reason #3,508,237 why I love Pinterest is that you can get a little inside scoop on what other bloggers are getting ready to do.I especially love keeping up with Elizabeth of The Mustard Ceiling because she tends to pin photos before her “Bam or Slam” feature (love that, btw…you should check it out and weigh in on the decision). What’s that quote from about how long you can make it without a rationalization? Okay, so we took this down when we painted the wall, and I hauled it down the garage (because it won’t stop raining lately), scrubbed it down, and painted it with Rustoleum’s Champagne Mist.I can’t remember where I first saw this color recommended, by the way, but I’m a big fan.
